It's the Easter holidays and we've taken the inevitable trip to the zoo with the kids. It was quite cold, wet, and grey all day - this little chap was the best bit of colour we saw all day!

Well, it's a bit late to say happy new year. So much for the 'regular updates' resolution too. Work and kids keeping me busier
that I'd like, not much time to use the camera. Still, the desire to take good pictures is still there somewhere ...

This little Robin must have been quite young and inexperienced as it made no effort to fly away from me. I got a couple of useable
snaps with my wideangle lens, and he even let me change to my 100mm macro lens without so much as a ruffled feather. Why can't all
birds be such good subjects?

Another month/year/decade has flown by. Christmas was fun (and wasn't). New Year's
Resolution ... I really need to get this blog back to some sort of regular updates (nothing
changes there. Here's to a Happy and prosperous 2010 ...

I had hoped to have got a lot of opportunites to use the camera last week
during the half-term break. Unfortunately, the children were unwell, and so
was I by the end of the week, so no chances materialized. Never mind,
November is here so better luck this month :-)

I saw this snail in our garden this afternoon. It had climbed the 60cm stalk of a dead allium plant and settled right in the centre of the old flower.

The Great Gust of Wind

It was my Sister's wedding last weekend. It was a wonderful day - it's always great to see all the family together having a bit of fun. I had a bad day with the camera though - almost none of my pictures came out right. I must have been too caught up in the day to conventrate on what I was doing. Still, I did catch this moment where a mahoosive gust of wind blasted Beth and Sarah, the chief bridesmaid. You can see the rest of the pics I took <a
